We have a thriving Junior section, well supported by a number of qualified coaches derived from senior players past and present, parents/carers and other volunteers operating under the ECB Safe Hands policy for the Safeguarding and Protection of Children.
We provide coaching for children from the age of five upwards from the end of April to the end of July. As a large, family orientated club we pride ourselves in providing high quality coaching where everyone feels included within a safe and friendly environment.
We are pleased to advise that we continue to hold the ECB Clubmark accreditation. This accreditation is awarded to cricket clubs which show they are sustainable, well run and provide the right environment for all its members.
It also means your club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people.
The safeguarding of all children at the Club is of the upmost importance. The Club Safeguarding Officer is Isabel Coates and the Deputy Safeguarding Officer is Sarah Taylor. Their contact details are:
The main purpose of these roles is to assist with the safeguarding and protecting of children and young people in cricket and to implement the ECB ‘Safe Hands Policy’ and procedures.
Please do not hesitate to raise any welfare concerns with either Safeguarding Officer, however small they may be.
