We congratulate Lydia Greenway on her new appointment, confirmed yesterday, with the following announcement:
“The ECB is delighted to confirm Lydia Greenway as England Women’s new National Selector. The former England batter will work alongside Head Coach Edwards, Managing Director Clare Connor and Performance Director Jonathan Finch as part of the four-strong selection panel. Greenway has advised on the selection of the current England squad.”
Lydia had a stellar career representing England and since her retirement from playing, has been heavily involved with commentating for the BBC & SKY – always managing to drop in a mention of Hayes!
We saw Lydia at the club recently during our “Ground Force Day” where she helped clear the shrubbery at the back of the ground – Lydia has a passion for Hayes and it’s great to see her career progress and that she doesn’t forget us.
With Ryana MacDonald-Gay becoming the latest Hayes player to represent England, we are pleased we are doing our bit for the country!
