Last week saw many members and friends of the club help get the ground ready for the upcoming season.
It was great to see so many take part under the excellent guidance of Nigel Gallagher – from getting all the covers ready to removing the Rugby posts, everything went like clock-work and with many hands by 2pm the club was transformed!
We are extremely grateful for the support!
Lydia Greenway – now a famous BBC & SKY reporter – made a guest appearance and it didn’t take her long before she started trimming the hedges on the boundary – great to see Lydia and her family and we are told to listen out to a major upcoming announcement concerning Lydia!
The square looks immaculate and our groundsman, Jon Clapshoe, has
worked wonders – he’s is pictured here with our new Chairman, Pete Askew.
The Bar refurbishment is under way and we look forward to seeing the new Bar in a few weeks – don’t panic, we have a temporary facility available!
The League season starts on May 10th when the 1st team host St Lawrence and we will be hosting Sevenoaks Vine next Saturday in a pre-season friendly.
