Saturday saw all the Games Rained-Off – 2022 seems a longtime ago!
Sunday Hayes were in action at the County Ground in Hove.
Having won the Kent League T20, the reward was a place in the Southern Region Finals Day and Hayes were drawn against Hampshire Champions, Havant.
Batting first, Hayes were soon in trouble and despite 25 from Gareth Severin, at 56-5 the innings looked in trouble.
However, a terrific partnership by Liam Buttery (38*) and Beau Couldrey (41) saw a score of 150 posted.
Alfie Peck and Scott Gallagher were wicket takers but a dominant display from the Havant openers saw the total chased down for the loss of 2 wickets, in 19 overs.
That was the action on a rainy weekend!
