As we reported yesterday the Women had a great result on Sunday, beating Tunbridge Wells in a Kent Premier league fixture.
Hayes “Star of the Day” was Jessica Matthews with a superb bowling spell of 8-0-20-5.
This tore the heart out of the Tunbridge innings and enabled the side to coast to fine win and climb to 2nd in the League Table.
Jessica’s family has a long history with Hayes – her Great Grandfather, Ernie and Grandfather Alan both had long careers at the club.
Alan now resides in North Carolina and we are sure he was applauding Jesse’s innings from across the Pond.
Her father Paul has also donned the whites of Hayes – as well as West Wickham Football Club and we are proud that the dynasty continues!
