The 1st XI are in the Final of the Kent League T20 after a 6 wicket victory over Folkestone at the weekend.
Bowling first a devastating spell form Stuart Eddicott – 4-0-11-3 – put Hayes on course and with Will MacVicar and Andrew Eddicott chipping in with a brace, Folkestone were always on the back foot.
120-8 was their closing score and although the wicket was slow, it did look 20 runs short.
Will MacVicar continued his fine form with the bat, finishing undefeated on 55 as Hayes chased the total in 19.2 overs – Tomas Gallagher (18) and skipper Beau Couldrey (19) also in the runs.
A final with rivals Minster awaits this weekend – the venue is the county ground at Beckenham, and it would be good to see many supporters at the ground!
